  Why I Loved the 2007 Convention "Follow the Christ"!

  i attended friday's part of the 2007 district convention "follow the christ" with my believing wife.

  we survived the limited parking and crowded seating (although large sections of the auditorium had been shut off).

  we suffered the monotonous program delivered by robotic speakers reading rehashed outlines.. so why did i love this convention?.

  I, always, while a JW, considered the guys that walk around the "holy mountain" on thier knees, blood trailing, were WIMPS in comparrison to the horror of a DC or CA. I disliked these affairs so much. Mrs. Williams, always, did such a great job of clothing and feeding us on nothing....I, never, was as appreciative as I should have been. Always broke....Gawd what a miserable mess....

  Disgusting comment re: education from Tacoma 2007 District Convention

  this is from saturday afternoon program.

  the speaker first starts with what he called the "alphabet soup" of degrees....a.a., b.a., m.a., ph.d., etc.

  ; he said they were nothing more than "sheepskins on the wall.

  I wonder if the speaker would feel better if his doctor did NOT have such letters in proceeding his name on the "sheepskin" on his wall?

  i've been out (df'd) for over a year now and the last 6 months or so have my eyes really been opened to the real truth.

  now i celebrate being df'd, and have i realized i am finally free from the mind controlling stupid cult.

  life at times outside the borg is rough with my new "sea legs".

  job loss

  as of august 1, mr.blackswan will join the ranks of the thousands of unemployed michiganders.. they are shipping his job, along with the rest of production to grand rapids, mi.

  which is 2 hours away.. my response was tears.

  fear is a big problem.. michigan is just not the place for jobs right now.. so, we are planning on having to look out of state.

  Moon Landings - Real or Fake?

  i've always wondered about this, especially recently.

  i've always contended that they were real and ignored the conspiracy theories.

  but if they were real, why hasn't nasa been able to send a man to the moon since the 1970s?

  Bad memory

  when i was in my teen years i spoke to an ms and his wife about the physical abuse i had to endure from my father.

  while they acted very concerned nothing was done about it.

  no one ever spoke to me about it again and my father was never spoken to either.

  My wife observed a, literal, beating of a child in the women's bathroom at a DC. It was so bad all the Sisters cleared the bathroom except one woman. My wife stopped the sister from abusing her daughter. The sister dragged he crying daughter from the bathroom. My wife and the other woman went to the DC "headquarters" and told of the incident. She observed the brothers just ignoring her until she, loudly, stated: "Either you all get something done on this or I will call the police."

  All hell breaks loose: they jump up, retrieve the abusive sister, etc.

  Two weeks later, we have an Elder visit: topic: "Why would you defame the name of Jehovah by dragging the police into this?"

  This was the second of two abuse situations reported to the elders that resulted in a do-nothing response.

  The pedaphile abuse cover up came as no surprise to Mrs. Williams.

  Mrs. Smith, I wish you the best in dealing with the results of WT ignorance and arroance in your life.

  Good for you, bro!

  These types are jerks.

  They remind me of the ones in the Battle Line of Israel that were pissing thier armour when challanged by Golieth. The WT paints us as the "giant." Trouble is, if that were true, there is not ONE "David" amoung them.

  Truth is, the situation is reversed. Here on this board and amoung those of us resisting the WT earthwide, there are many, many "Davids." We HAVE come into the open field, away from Line or Wall, and have challanged the "giant" of the WT. We have done that, alone, in our individual lives.

  The Elders prove themselves the little "wise ass" that sits on the wall calling down names from his place of safety. They won't come into the open and fight toe to toe.

  Who ever this gnat is pestering you...shrug it off till it gets splattered in a good slap...your's or other's.

  Are elders more "pure" than the other JW's ?

  i always considered elders like "cops" in the congregation, looking into other people's business and looking for faults.

  they give the impression that they are pure and do no wrong and by the fact, they can judge others and counsel them.. i'd love to turn the tide around and find out about their faults and sins.. .

  There is an elder in Neosho, MO that was DF'd three times (I was thinking it was twice, however, I am fairly sure it was three...) for adultry. This guy was talking to me in the mid seventies, while I was at that little junior college over there, and I had asked about an "apostate" book. He said you did not need to read all that: just read the WT books and mags and you will be ok.

  So, this guy was an ex-big business guy. He had an "office" in the apartment they lived in. Real pom-pus type. Strutter. So, here he goes about IN THE CONGREGATION, placing his penis in the bodies of women not his wife. Not just once......

  Another elder here in Monett: same thingd: he is still an Elder.

  Another Elder from Aurora was pressuring my daughter to marry him. This guy is nuts. He stated in the WT meeting we were lyers. I called a couple of other Elders in two other congs. They had had the same issue with him. They contacted the Elders in Aurora. I told him if he kept up his nutty-ness he would be removed. He said: "All I have to do is follow the rules and I would get my elder-ship back." He was deleted five years or so ago. He is, no doubt, back on the roles.

  As I understand, one of the Elders that DF'd me for not lying as a pledge of loyalty, was DF'd for adultry, just recently.

  This could go on and on. I have seen so much fecal matter in the form of Elder/MS actions and emotions. Elders "pure?"

  Yeah....most are pure "something:" what that "something" is is up for grabs....

  My mom, now eighty, has, always, NOT believed in the moon landings. She thinks it was done on a movie set.

  The day after Kennedy was shot, our neighbor came over and said they should hang Oswald. My parents told him it was a CIA or FBI hit...Kennedy, because he was rich and independent, was too much a threat to the status quo.

  Mix my parents and the JWs together and, well, here I am.....
